Currently in Uganda there are 3.5 million orphaned children in a country of almost 50 million people. Of that number, 1.2 million children became orphaned because of AIDS and other diseases.  A child who loses one or both parents is called an orphan in Uganda, even if they are in the care of other relatives. So that number may be slightly skewed. We believe a child should first and foremost be living in the care of a family member, learning the traditions and culture of their ancestors.

Often when a Ugandan child’s parents die, and no relative cares for that child, they will become homeless living on the street left to find food and shelter. Sadly, there are many currently in this predicament. Another sad scenario we see are 'Child-headed families' where the parents die and the oldest child takes responsibilty over the younger siblings.

Please consider opening your hearts, minds and hands to donating to the work we are doing in Uganda to alleviate the suffering of these kids. The needs range from feeding to clothing children to paying school fees to ensure they get an education and end the cycle of poverty.

We are currently pausing poultry farming as an income-generating project. It is costly to feed and vaccinate the chickens and pay far workers. Please consider donating to this great cause! We need capital to start again.
